TNF Football Recap

Final Score: Chicago Bears 16, Carolina Panthers 13

Someone needs to check on Al Michaels. The man has endured some pretty stinky TNF games this year so far. Not surprisingly, both starting QBs – Tyson Bagent and Bryce Young – stayed UNDER their already-low passing yardage totals on Thursday night in Chicago’s thrilling 16-13 win. Bears running back Donta Foreman certainly got his work in, with 21 carries and 80 yards to go OVER his rushing yardage total (62.5). We also saw one offensive touchdown (a 4-yard Freeman TD run) between the two teams. Now, let us never speak of this game again.

Week 9 NFL Fantasy Leaders

C.J. Stroud, QB, Houston Texans (41.8 points)

Forget fantasy football, there may not have been any better performances in real football all weekend – well, maybe with the exception of our guy Josh Dobbs with the Vikings. Stroud was unbelievable in a 39-37 win over Tampa Bay, throwing for 470 yards and 5 TDs, including a game-winning TD drive in 46 seconds. Oh yeah, and his team didn’t have a kicker for the second half.

Tank Dell, WR, Houston Texans (29.6 points)

Generally when your quarterback has 470 yards passing and five touchdowns, some receiver had a good game. On Sunday it was the rookie Dell, who only caught six passes (on 11 targets), but made them count for 114 yards and 2 TDs.

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys (28.4 points)

The Cowboys QB generally played well in a 28-23 loss to the Eagles, but came up short in the end. But for fantasy purposes – which is all we care about here – he had a heck of a game, with 374 yards passing and three TDs, along with 14 yards rushing.

Interesting Week 10 Player Markets

OK fine, we admit we were 1-2 last week. Looking back, pretty sure the incorrect picks were typos. This week is a whole different story.

Rachaad White OVER 25.5 receiving yards

White has gone over his receiving yardage total in six of eight games this season and has proven to be a good receiver out of the backfield on screens, and a safety blanket for Baker Mayfield. We think he hits this number against the Titans.

Tommy DeVito UNDER 164.5 passing yards

It’s not really Tommy’s fault, but there’s no way he’s ready for this. An undrafted QB going to Dallas to face that Cowboys defense? We like the under. A lot.

Christian McCaffrey OVER 66.5 rushing yards

McCaffrey is 4-4 against his rushing yardage total, but we like this matchup coming off a bye. If San Francisco’s offense is going to get back on track, it’s going to get back to basics and go through McCaffrey.
