Plus: Welcome to the Wembanyama era, CeeDee Ham, and the Kamara show

Happy Friday! This is the fourth edition of our weekly newsletter, which is intended to be a 5-minute read from across the sports landscape, with an emphasis on fantasy sports, sports betting, and company updates as we build the Propellor Daily Fantasy Sports platform.
Fun Fact: In 5 games, NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama has made 8 3-pointers. In his entire 8 year career, fellow #1 pick Ben Simmons has only made 5 3-pointers.
Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

Final Score: Pittsburgh Steelers 20, Tennessee Titans 16
Well, wasn’t that wasn’t the most Pittsburgh Steelers win (and cover) ever. How are the Steelers 5-3? Kenny Pickett (160 passing yards, 1 TD) did very little until 92-yard go-ahead TD drive in the fourth quarter, and stayed well under his passing yardage total. Titans rookie QB Will Levis (262 yards passing, 1 INT) looked far more like a rookie in his second career start, but did surpass his passing yardage total of 202.5. Don’t worry, if you missed this game – you didn’t miss much.
Bonus fun fact: At 5-3, the Steelers are the 34th team since 1933 - when rushing and receiving stats were first tracked - to be out gained in each of their first 8 games of a season. They’re also the only one of those teams who had a winning record. The Steelers are also the only team this season to be out gained in every game with a yardage differential of -790, 2nd only to the Broncos at -830. Yinz heard?
it took 668 days and 199 targets but diontae johnson finally scored a touchdown again‼️

Week 8 NFL Fantasy Leaders
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys (41.0 points)
Many Cowboys fans have been frustrated with Lamb’s output at times. Well, there wasn’t anything to worry about this past Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. In a 43-20 blowout victory, Lamb had 12 grabs for 158 yards and 2 TDs. He also had 12 yards rushing for good measure. Editor’s Note: The guy writing this wants you to know he benched him in his fantasy league for Christian Kirk and Mike Evans and still won by 40 points.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Tennessee Titans (34.8 points)
Hopkins has to be happy that Will Levis is starting again on Thursday. All Hopkins did was catch not one, not two but three TDs on his four catches, along with 128 yards in a 282-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles (33.0 points)
Brown has been on an absolute tear this season, scoring at least 18.7 fantasy points in each of the past six games. On Sunday, Brown dominated the Washington Commanders again and was a big reason the Eagles held on for a 38-31 win. Brown caught all eight targets that came his way, for 130 yards and two extremely impressive TDs.
Interesting Week 9 Player Markets
Our highly complicated computer algorithm that makes these picks is back on track, with a sterling 3 for 3 record last week. Check out what he… er… it picked this week.
Zach Wilson UNDER 215.5 passing yards
Did you watch Zach Wilson against the New York Giants? Good, we didn’t either. But from what we heard, it was ugly. Wilson has gone UNDER his passing yardage total in four of six games.
Josh Allen OVER 27.5 rushing yards
There are some games that the Bills save Allen’s rushing attempts for, and we think this is one of those games. Buffalo has been struggling, while the Bengals are suddenly surging. Allen will do whatever he needs to in order to win this game.
Alvin Kamara OVER 62.5 rushing yards
Kamara has gone over his rushing yardage total in four of five games he’s played in this season. This week, he gets to face the Chicago Bears. The Bears? Well, they aren’t very good and the Saints need a win. We expect them to lean on Kamara in this matchup.
